The two states of India where dogs are traded like absolute commodities is Punjab and Haryana. While travelling with my pegasus who is an Indie dog through Punjab, most people in that state were so surprised that I had an indie with me. They questioned me, why did I even keep "a kutta bina nassal ka". Well, all these people of Punjab can see Canada from their roofs, of course, hence such illegal trade goes on openly. If this happened in Delhi, all of them would be arrested but in Punjab, everyone keeps their eyes and mouth shut.
The fact that they can use the term "wholesale dog market" in one line is utterly shameful. Let me also assure you that these two states are also the biggest investors in illegal dog fights.
