This is one of the best news one may imagine to come across as an animal lover. After months of perseverance and tireless efforts, a respected animal lover and activist, Ms. Shreela Debi has managed to convince the Mr Deepak Mishra Delhi Police Commissioner, Law and Order, to issue a direction to all police stations of the state, which addresses the general apathy shown by some police stations in registering animal cruelty cases. The letter sent to all police stations along with a synopsis of the laws has been sent by the Commissioners Office, clarifying the firm future position and positive attitude all stations of the Delhi Police should take in dealing with animal cruelty cases.
I am attaching the letter, which MUST be circulated widely among st all animal lovers of the country. This will not only show the brilliant attitude of the Delhi Police top officials towards the voiceless but will also set examples for other states to follow suit. This will also reinforce strength in the civilians and restore their faith that Delhi Police is in all real sense “with you for you always”.
Please take a print out of this letter and feel obliged to give a copy to your local police station.
