Dear Friends,
Sonadi Charitable Trust has been organizing free ANTI RABIES CAMPS since ages. Almost every month they have a camp in Dwarka region in New Delhi wherein they vaccinate all cats and dogs, be it a pet or a street one, free of cost. This program they run with the help of Municipal Corporation of Delhi. The key people involved are Mrs Vandana Sen the trustee of Sonadi, Dr Vijay and Dr Inder Singh. From the MCD’s side Dr Alok Agarwal is always there to support and provide the needful.
They also distribute awareness material to children, RWAs and people. This simple and consistent exercise has made Dwarka a much better place than it was before. Despite such efforts there are problems and differences, yet the level of awareness has increased apart from the fact that the rabies cases have dropped marginally in such a large sub city as Dwarka.
Today, they organized yet another such camp. The pictures are attached.
If every NGO would take such selfless and honest initiatives with every municipal corporation, then any city can be made free of rabies, excess dog population and dog bites.
