One of the first reasons why I got into animal welfare was because of a dog I met around 15 years ago. His name was Sheru. A strong indie community dog who was loved by all. He stayed in my locality for almost 15 years of his life till he lost most of his eye sight , smell and hearing . Thats when I transferred him to a friend’s farm house because he kept getting hit by cars. The next 1 1/2 years he spent sleeping and eating under my friend’s care and then on 28th of march 2017 he finally left this cruel planet.
I will miss him dearly. He was a royal dog. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He kept the other dogs in line and taught the pups how to behave. The picture I have attached is old , once he got hurt and I was putting medicine on him. Sadly I dont have better pictures of him.
Rest in peace my little friend, I am sure I will meet you soon.
