Recently the Haryana Police (Pinagvaan Police Station) seized trucks containing 20 slaughtered camels and 26 alive camels in the Shikraavaa forest in Mewat Region. The culprits however fled from the site. (see attached article)
Mewat, as we discussed earlier, is notorious for all sorts of illegal activities – cattle smuggling and slaughter being among them.
This police action is a positive step in the direction of protecting animals and stopping illegal activities in the region.
