Few days back on 19th Sept there was a news item in HT that “Suncity Becomes Free Of Stray Dogs“.
That news was a typical case of misrepresentation of facts, dissemination of wrong information and irresponsible reporting.
In reality, it was animal lovers like you who identified few non-vaccinated and un-sterilized dogs at Suncity. Through Frendicos, they got those dogs vaccinated and sterilized as per the ABC rule 2001. Later these dogs were released in the same locality. In reality, these people are doing a great service to society by doing so. Wrong reporting by HT was unfortunate and came as a shock to animal lovers.
Several organizations and people like you have since then confronted the media house to represent the true facts. The Hindustan Times realized their mistake and rectified their error by publishing the correct news item on 24th September, 2014. Same is attached for your reference.
