Hi,
We have another abandoned St Bernard…this is the third one in a week now. When will it ever stop? If you are looking at his picture and thinking poor guy then let me tell you something more about him…both his hind paws had so many maggots that they were almost eaten away He is a young dog, maximum 2 years or so, but he is so weak and in so much pain that he can’t even stand up. The person who left him at the shelter said he found him on the road in Punjabi Bagh, west Delhi, a so-called very posh locality. We suspect that most likely this dog actually belonged to him and was not found on the road as claimed! Considered a prime breed by many  who keep them as status symbols, the number of St Bernards being dumped has increased alarmingly in the past few months. I don’t  know the solution to this problem, all I know is that they are living, breathing beings just like us, but the torture they seem to be going through is rising day by day. When will it stop? When will this need to own a pedigreed, huge breed which is not meant for a country like India stop? The vet at the shelter says this baby will make it but not in a shelter. What do we do now? I  need a solution and more help. Please spread the word, help him find a place to heal and be loved, please help him find a home, contact me on9873822268
Thank you
Bharti
