Today at 11 am on Mehrauli Gurgaon Road(MG Rd) WAH Volunteer saw six lean cows and five shriveled calves being taken on road in a hush hush manner. On interrogation the two hired boys revealed that they were being taken from Aya Nagar to Sangam Vihar illegal slaughter house. The volunteer called the police and till then tried to slow their movement on road by putting the car before them as they ran. Soon more than four hefty men arrived on mobikes and threatened the WAH volunteer in many ways, banged into the car,broke the front girder and also threatened to shoot. It was a busy traffic time but nobody came out of their cars to help.
The police arrived and acted fast to stop them, except for one, every other goonda disappeared on seeing them.
To mention here, SHO Mr. Jain was very supportive from the Fatehpur Beri Thana where the FIR is lodged. Tokas Saheb showed electric speed to reach in time to protect the volunteer and take the cows to the Kisengarh Gowshala. Ambika Shukla lent her instant support to talk to the police station incharge due to which Mr. Jain SHO came to help.
The poor cows in this old age were to turn into meat and leather, calves into veil food. WAH’s HEARTFELT THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO HELPED TO MAKE THE LAST PHASE OF THE POOR ANIMAL’S LIFE PEACEFUL- AS A REPAYMENT OF DEBT TO THE ANIMAL THAT STARVED THEIR OWN BABIES TO FEED US AND HELP US GROW!
