Man Ran Over A Stray Dog For Peeing On His Car In Mumbai

There’s no dearth of heartless human beings who wouldn’t think twice before hurting animals!

Another incident comes as a proof of such cruelty! Recently, a Mumbai man ran over a sleeping stray dog inside his housing society just because the innocent stray dog peed on the tyres of  his new car.

A Facebook user, Bala Mani, shared a post to a group called ‘Feed a Stray. Everyday’describing the inhuman act. He claimed that Saurabh Dukhande, who according to his profile works as a Customer Service Executive at Kankai Total Logistics LLP,  ran over the dog to take revenge for the dog named Bandya had apparently peed on his car.

An animal lover, Nanda Mahadik, witnessed the incident and rushed the dog to a hospital in Vasai.”But vet told him that the animal has to be taken to a hospital in Kandivli as the injuries were serious.”

Meet Ashar, Emergency Response Coordinator at PETA India, shared the details of the case on the group and informed that a FIR was filed and that the Palghar Rural police will proceed with the arrest. He will be following up with Mahadik on the filing of charge sheet and other related matters.

“Will be sending a letter to the employer of the accused about this gruesome act of animal cruelty in the capacity of an Hon. Animal Welfare Officer, appointed by the Animal Welfare Board of India – Government of India”, he wrote in the post.

Ashar also mentioned that the accused might be able to get bail.

change.org petition was also created demanding confinement of Saurabh Dukhande and justice for Bandya and has received 1,512 signatures. The petition also mentioned that the dog’s spine and legs are broken.

Bandya unfortunately is paralyzed due to this inhuman act. He is being monitored and given the best comfort with treatment at an animal lover’s home at Vasai with support from other loving hands.
