i learnt this afternoon to my dismay that sanjay singh has won and is now president of the shipra sun city [Ghaziabad] rwa once again after a gap of two years. this is a big blow for me since his earlier tenure was a traumatising for the canines and for me. several were killed and i was hounded persistently for taking up their cause.
i am particularly frightened for the now much older, the already maimed and the infirm. i have only three slots on my terrace and i already have seven dogs at home. i am not aware of any place that can actually home the entire population of the township which would be over 100 in number. several of these are sterilised and vaccinated but not all, unfortunately,because that exercise has depended mostly on my physical health, the time i can put in, my financial resources (paid rs 110 for each dog to xxxxxx). Sanjay Singh xxxxxxxxxx the last time, he bagged and bludgeoned over 20 dogs death and maimed them before i got to know from other women who quietly feed the dogs at night and the awbi came into the picture.
the manifesto i scanned and mailed to has the relevant point (no.18) translated into english at at the top of the page. it says “shasakiya tarike se awaara kutte and bandar ki menace to khatm kar denge.” Literally reads “Over the years, the menace of monkeys and stray dogs in the township has ballooned to phenomenal proportions. I promise to rid the township of these, through administratively approved means, once and for all.”
Since there are no such “administratively approved” means that allow relocationb(especially for dogs), murder, pogrom or extermination of these animals from the township, yes, it is hogwash. However, it clearly indicates what he will be upto. That is, once again, bagging them and bludgeoning them to death surreptitiously at night with the active help of many likeminded goondas in the place. Terrifies me to think of going through that nightmare all over again..
Will appreciate any options for homing the older and maimed ones and for a more sustained solution to reinforcing the law regarding the animals of Shipra and for a long term plan for vaccinating, sterilising and tagging them . Urgently. Thanks much for everything.

I am forwarding the scanned copies of the following-
1. copy of my FIR with Indirapuram P.S. after I was recently threatened with rape and acid attack by some of Sanjay Singh’s friends and cohorts when I protested their kicking a dog with broken hip who virtually grew up the market place and is now aged about six. Despite contacting the DM through Ms Gandhi (who personally also spoke to the SP, the Commissioner etc and an FIR was registered only after her intervention), the police have not taken any action. This, although I was repeatedly assured of an “imminent arrest” time and again. This is where the matter currently stands.
2.Election manifesto of Sanjay Singh,aspirant for the post of Shipra Sun City (Indirapuram, Ghaziabad) RWA President for the third time and recently defeated municipal council candidate of the BJP. He has put up a covert panel for the election on Sunday which sports his agenda.
Pertinent to note that Sanjay Singh xxxxxx had a lot of stray dogs bludgeoned to death the last time he was president of the RWA,Shipra Sun City. It was with the intervention of the AWBI’s Anjali Sharma and the local PFA representative that a case was registered, he was threatened with arrest and had to flee to Mumbai for a short while after committing to the police that he would not resort to such tactics again.
The current elections are due on May 26, Sunday and I dread to think what could likely happen if elected.
