I have just spoken to the Deputy Cmdt of NDA and this news is entirely unfounded.
There is no such order and shooting dogs is specifically prohibited at NDA. 
AVM Bhosale who as it turns out, is an old friend, has assured that NDA is one place where birds and animals only die of old age!
So in future , please try and confirm such stories before pushing the panic button.

We have confirmed reports from several sources including cadets, that you have issued illegal orders to shoot/kill all community dogs in and around the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla, Pune, campus. Several dogs have been shot / killed and the program is going continues.
 
This is to put you to notice and warn you to stop this illegal act immediately. It violates every acceptable norm of civilized behaviour and :
  
1.The Constitution of India, Directive Principles of State Policy, Article 51 (a)
2.Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act (1960)
3. Indian Penal Code, Sections 428, 429
 
The illegal act undertaken by you covertly,is punishable by imprisonment and a court martial under the Armed Forces Tribunal Act.
 
We, the law abiding citizens of this country and animal activists, are initiating complaints against you individually and collectively with the Defence Ministry in New Delhi and exposing this condemnable misdeed to the public and local media.

I have also called the Deputy Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Ajit Bhonsale, on 02025292843 , 02025292843  – he’s not coming on the line. Neither is the Colonel-Admin. May be a good idea to start calling too – they’ll realize there are a lot of people watching, and protesting.

The Commandant of the NDA is Lieutenant General Jatinder Singh, his number is 02025291700 , 02025291700 . I have called at that number – he is stated to be on Temporary Duty. I’ve spoken with the A.D.C., Capt. Jagdish on the same number – he says he doesn’t know. He’s going to try and get the Colonel Admin to speak with me, he says. The AWBI is sending a stiff notice, but we’ve got to stop them. Please start calling up the number mentioned by me, and voicing your protest. Mention the organization you’re affiliated with – speak as a representative of an organization, for better results.

I received a call from a former Army officer, Capt. SanXYZ XYZ (copied) late last night about the NDA Commandant giving an order to shoot all community dogs. Reportedly, many were shot yesterday and more are likely to die today. National Defence Academy (NDA) is situated at Kadakvasla near Pune and is India’s premier military academy after IMA, Dehradun.
 
The Website is : www.nda.nic.in I am also pasting some contact details. This is an SOS to save the dogs. In addition to the AWBI, Groups locatred in Pune (PeTA, Dharmesh Solanki) and Mumbai (Abodh Aras) are especially rerquested to help with immediacy.  Please also send mails to the delinquints below and socialize this SOS to your contacts.
