Some of us from WAH had been looking after 3 abandoned pups at Maulsari Arcade. They had grown bigger since the coming of winter in November and were kept in cosy coats. Playful and friendly. The maintenance deptt.and shopkeepers were angry and couldn’t tolerate them.
Yesterday Prema found one dead with froth oozing out from the mouth and the other two in a similar state were rushed to the doctor.
The killing of pups at Maulsari Arcade yesterday on the 18th Jan 2011 is an act of horrendous cruelty, unprovoked and cold blooded. This area comes under Police Station DLF Phase 3 and Mr. Suresh Kumar SHO heads it.
This is a brutal and inhuman behaviour which calls for immediate legal and police action under the prevention of cruelty act 1960 as amended later 1972 and 1985. Every Stray animal has a right of habitat and killing or harming them in any way is illegal and even unconstitutional. The culrpits at the Maulsari Arcade DLF Phase 3 should be immediately arrested.
